LAST WEEKS QUESTION: Growing up in Alaska we had a big backyard surrounded by lots and lots of trees. Sometimes when we were asked to mow we would get creative. What would we do?
ANSWER: Mow our names! Afterwards we would go up to our parents balcony and look at our beautiful creation!
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Invite cows over (more like moose!), football yard lines, roll all over to flatten it, mow stars (I should have done that!).

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: What is Becky's BIGGEST, HUGEST, #1 pet peeve?
ANSWER: Ok, where to begin...this is why I told Derick it is like asking a trick question! Pretty much anything repetitive; tapping, crunching, swishing, sliding, clicking, chomping or clicking gum, gulping a drink, sniffing your nose, shaking, whiny voices, whistling, uneven massages (poor Derick can't give me a back rub because he pushes harder with his right thumb compared to his left and it bugs me), when people don't proof read, foods touching each other, telemarketers who don't stop at no, one of my sisters eating my best bite (see comments from previous post) Ok, so I could go on and on. I know that life would be a lot easier to handle if I didn't get so annoyed by these things, but I do!
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Typing alot instead of a lot, missionaries, waiting in line ( Usually I can handle it, especially when I don't have kids with me!), commercials.

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: What is Derick's BIGGEST, HUGEST, #1 pet peeve?
ANSWER: Some of you guessed some little ones, but he absolutely can't stand it when people call his cell phone, listen to his recording and then wait to hang up until after it starts recording! Why not just hang up before it starts recording! At a close #2 would have to be leaving garbage in the sink. So there you go, now you know!
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Muffin top (he hates that), gum popping, toupes, being called Chief, feet & toes, nose pickers, not using your blinker, crusty heels and eating in bed.
NEW QUESTION: What is Becky's BIGGEST, HUGEST, #1 pet peeve? (This is actually kind of a trick question I think, but Derick wanted it for this week!)

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: I was in the good old Anchorage Daily News in highschool. Ok, they may not have mentioned my name at all, but there was a picture! What was it for?
ANSWER: This is a picture of track practice! We had some practices leading up to this picture where we all had shovels and had to clear the track! You can see the snow on the side that is still there. This was an article in late April. Before we were able to clear the track, we would have to do our running through the halls of the school. It was pretty hard going up and down all the stairs and dodging opening doors and people! Thanks Lizanne for giving this to me so long ago!
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Native games skills, streaking through graduation, jumping into the slush at Alyeska, Polar Bear club, football game, behind a serial sock thief in line, and second chair oboe player.

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: How did Derick and I meet?
ANSWER: He was my property manager! The first time I saw him, he came over to light the pilot light. The way he was dressed I thought, who is this guy?! He had on a NOFX hat, a Blind shirt, baggy jeans and sandals I later found out he got on his mission. We started hanging out eventually and that was that!
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Dating my roommate (that one really made me laugh-Derick grew up in the same ward as the other 3 girls-Diana, is there something you need to tell me?!), same FHE group, at Survivor auditions in LA (ya, didn't everyone see us last season?), at Denny's on my birthday, Derick being the clown at my 16th birthday party!

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: Becky used to collect something and hang them from her ceiling when she lived at home. What was it?
ANSWER: Bags! That is right, bags. You have to understand that growing up in Alaska, we didn't have a Gap or Old Navy or anything like that until I was in highschool! So, I used to collect shopping bags from all kinds of stores and places. Disneyland, See's (I had some chocolate stashed in that one), Abercrombie, and all these places around the world that people would bring back for me to hang up! It made for some interesting wall art!
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Stuffed spider monkeys, air-fresheners, bells, rosary beads, wind chimes, N'SYNC posters, jump ropes and medals, stars, moose nuggets, and slinky's! I love that! Slinky's would be pretty cool I must say. I guess I wasn't that cool with the bags....!

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: Derick competed in a sport in highschool. He placed in a national competition in Vail, CO. What was the sport and what did he place?
ANSWER: Trials and 16th out of about 100 people. Click HERE to see what it is! A lot of people don't know what it is, but it's pretty amazing! I had no idea what it was, I kept thinking bmx or something. This picture is of him just playing around jumping on picnic tables. At our condo he used to hop all the way up the flight of stairs outside and then ride them down. Yes, he was a neighborhood favorite.
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Bobsledding, soccer, diving, pole vaulting (that would be funny), freestyle biking, kayaking, squirrel tossing (hilarious), handball, snowboarding, tennis and golf.

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: Becky used to compete in a sport from
1st grade until Junior High. She traveled all over Alaska and in the lower 48. She also won a couple of Gold medals, a bunch of Silvers & Bronzes. What sport was it?
ANSWER: Jump Rope! I started in elementary school. Some of my siblings did it too. We traveled all over, competed, did shows, were on tv, the whole works! I need to dig up a picture for you all! Let me tell you, those uniforms were cute! Here is a picture from when I first started and was so little!!
WRONG, YET CREATIVE: Hot dog eating, log rolling, sled dog racing, igloo making, and swimming.

REAL ANSWER: Blindside, Max Power, Leach Ate, Kid Icarus & All Things Considered. Who knows how many other names we came up with in between, but these are the ones that stuck for those guys! They didn't just come from anywhere, if you get a chance, ask Derick sometime what they all mean or where they got them from! If you want to listen to some of their songs, click HERE.

I have decided that once a week I am going to put up a trivia question about us. I think it will be funny to see what people think the answer(s) are! So, every week check back and give it a guess! The following week I will give the answer along with a new question! Think hard, be creative and good luck! Even if you have a make up an answer, do it!
