Farm Country with friends

LOVE this picture of Ashley riding a pony! She loved every minute.

We went with our friends the Unwin's to the Farm Zoo as my kids call it.

Chloe and Ashley were having fun feeding the cow. Ashley was a little too upclose and personal!

Random March!

This little boy.... I was so sick at home one Sunday and Derick had gone to church just to remind some people of things and was coming back to help with the kids while I slept. As soon as Derick left without Andrew, he ran upstairs, dressed himself (could ya tell?) and headed out (running/biking, who knew) to go to church with dad. I was trying to call for him to stop but he didn't hear or wasn't listening :) I tried to call anyone I thought may have a phone with them at church or who would be home during church. I was able to reach my neighbor and he said he would go out and look for him. After a while Derick showed up back at home and I told him what had happened, but Derick didn't pass him on his way home. I was so worried he was lost! Our church is a 1/2 mile away, but there are a few streets he could have turned on to get lost. Derick headed back to the church to look for him.
Before Derick got back someone from church brought him back with his bike. Derick searched the roads, the building and couldn't find him so headed home. Come to find out from our friend, he saw Andrew in church looking the way he did and knew something was up. He knew Derick was leaving to head home to be with his sick family so tried to get Andrew to come home. He asked how he got there and Andrew showed him his bike parked in a spot in the parking lot! Thank you Jose for noticing something was wrong and bringing him home to us! I told Andrew he is never allowed to cross the busy street without us. He said, "ya, a car almost broke my bones when I crossed it." AHH! SCARY! (look closely at the picture.....spiderman pj shirt with a tie, suit and skate shoes- he's got style)

My sleepy little girl always cracks me up before I go to bed.

Derick hanging out playing the guitar. He loves to do it and is really good!

Who doesn't like to sit on their brother in a car seat and watch tv?!

My cute Andrew. Loves to be silly and loves to play the guitar like his dad!

A little water and a comb can really make a difference :)

At the Young Women's broadcast with my fun young women! Look how young they all look :) (that includes us Lori, Angie and Jocelyn :)

I'm 2!

We had a fun family dinner to celebrate Ashley turning 2. Amy, Dave, Wes, Seaka, Andy and Leisl came over to eat and have cake and ice cream! It was Wesley's birthday a few days after Ashley's, so he shared some of his Lego Star Wars cake with us too.

Can you tell we got the curling iron out too? We had fun. Poor Ashley had just whacked her forehead on the floor right before blowing out her candles, so don't mind the goose egg...

Time to catch up!

It seems like we have been so busy lately, but I don't have many pictures to prove it! Here are a few I came across...

She may be stinkin' cute, but she is into everything! I can't keep her off the table or counter!

We had a few girls nights the last little while. Here are some of my good friends around Lehi!

I took Andrew to go see a movie. I thought the one on one time might be good. He sat covering his ears the whole movie. Oh well, it was a good thought I guess.

My good friend and neighbor Branden went through the temple! It was such a special day and I am so glad she invited me to be a part of it! Here we are early in the morning heading in, and the whole group that came to support her!

Myringotomy with ventilation tube insertion and adenoidectomy

Sounds pretty fancy, doesn't it?! Ashley has had well over her fair share of sinus infections. It was about double the average! After yet another trip to the pediatrician for her gross nose and fever, we went on to the ENT. We love our ear, nose, throat doctor, so I was glad to pay him a visit! He did his ear tests, looked at her nose and throat, and decided that we should put tubes in her ears and take her adenoids out.

We woke up extra early for our appointment with same day surgery at AF Hospital. Thank you Britney for watching Andrew! The hospital has this lady that comes through to entertain the kids while we wait to talk to the anesthesiologist and doctor. She gave her a doll, played toys with her, and blew bubbles. Ashley was all over the place on that hospital bed. She kept climbing up the bed and sliding down where the pillow was. Finally they took her away and we went to wait for her to come back.

After an hour they brought her back fast asleep. I was expecting a screaming child because that is how Andrew always comes out of anethestesia. She was hooked up to an IV and a monitor on her toe, she when she did wake up, she started freaking out! Poor little girl didn't know what to think of anything! When she calmed down she started falling back asleep and holding her breath, so her oxygen numbers would drop. Because of this I had to hold the oxygen in front of her for her to breath. She did not like that! But it helped her wake up more fully.

After another hour of being monitored they finally took the IV out and let us get her dressed and head out! Poor little girl did not feel good the rest of the day. She doesn't like her ear drops, she loves her antibiotic (she is on one because the dr said he had to suction a lot of junk out of her sinuses), she has the worst breathe which the dr warned us about and she will have it for about 2 weeks. So that is the latest with Ashley!

Tomato anyone?

I should have known after I picked a bunch of tomatoes from our garden NOT to leave them out there for a little while. I came out later that evening and look what the kids had fun doing! At least they weren't all over each other, right? Well, the next day the neighbor girls came over to play and they all decided to have a tomato fight! I am so mad I didn't get any pictures of that! They were running around throwing them at each other! They were covered! The only rule, they had to clean up all the pieces out of the grass when they were done, which they did!

Brina, Katie, Andrew and Lizzie pre-tomato fight! They all seem to migrate to the smallest pool and neglect the sprinklers!

Ashley being cute in Andrew's sunglasses.

Once again, sorry for the underlining, don't know why it is doing that...

Highland Splash Park!

My neighbor Angie invited us to go to the new splash park with them! Andrew had fun playing with Nick and JJ, and Ashley was in her own little world crawling around on the rocks and up and down the stream! Thanks Angie, it was fun!

(sorry, don't know why the pictures are so dark and why the words are underlined!)

August Fun!

We have had a lot of fun this summer! It was so nice to be gone to Alaska for part of it. It is so hard to come back to the heat here. I CANNOT stand being hot! The kids just want to play outside but they will melt! Here is a look at a few things we did in August to beat the heat!

Andrew did a neighborhood soccer camp for a few days in the mornings. That picture of him kicking the ball...probably the only time he even attempted to kick the ball. He loved running around, doing drills and stretches...but when it came to the game on the last day, he liked to just sit there and stand next to the ref! Thanks Natalie, Mady and Kenzie, the kids loved it and you should do it again next year!

Ashley enjoying her post-game otter pop. She has the hardest time eating those things and gets so frustrated.

We have been to the splash park a few times this month too. Ashley and Andrew LOVE it! Ashley likes to sit on the spouts and Andrew chases other kids around!

Derick met us there for lunch one day. He brought dill pickle Pringles. They were gooood

June, June, June...counting down the days to go to Alaska!

I know this was from before our trip this summer, but I am just getting around to posting these cute pictures!

I gave Ashley her first french braid! You can't really tell that is what it is, probably because I only had like 5 strands of hair to do it, but it was cute!

I love that Andrew still has such an imagination when he plays with his toys! It is hard to get mad at him or tell him to clean them up when he is playing so well by himself and not bugging Ashley!

And this is the story of my life....Ashley is happy, Andrew sees that and takes her toy...
