Maybe because it is almost Mother's Day or because he is happy or because he came and snuggled with me this morning, but I just love my little guy! I have struggled...I still struggle with Andrew. He is a lot to handle! People have told me and made comments about him and how silly, or crazy, or imaginative he is. It is hard to hear sometimes as a parent. You work with and live with and teach these little kids and hope that they reflect all that you have taught them. Some days I just wonder what I am doing wrong. Why is he acting the way he does? Why is he so stubborn! You know what, it is worth it!
Today has been a normal day, but when we got home from preschool and he gave me a little paper flower with a picture of him on it, my heart melted! He is of course smiling very cheesy, but that is him! (Thanks Steph for making these!) He is playing in the backyard right now, racing back and forth, saying "ready, set, go!" I just brought some lunch out to him, he took a bite and said, "this is really delicious!" Days like this make it all worth it. Worth the comments, worth the struggles, worth being a mom!

12 things you had to say!:
I love hearing happy Mom Moments. Both of your kids are adorable. You are doing a great job!!!!
He may be silly but he is so smart too. You can hardly be around him without bursting into smiles. You are a wonderful mom and such a caring friend too.
My comment from earlier is MIA...hmmm. Anyway, don't doubt yourself! Andrew is a brilliant little guy! You are by far one of the most amazing women I know! Besides, I worry more about the moms that aren't evaluating how they are doing with their kids! Your the best, and that is why I am overusing exclamation points!!!!!!!!
I just love Andrew, he stole my heart the first day I had preschool at my house. He has an awesome personality. You are fantastic parents. These children for sure come down from heaven with personalitys that have been developed over eternities.
I LOVE Andrew...He is seriously the cutest and I LOVE his imagination. The kids will be arguing and he can come up with an idea for everyone to play together...I agree with Steff. I fell in love the first day of preschool at my house too! He's such a cutie!!! AND...you are doing a fabulous job as a mom!!!
It is so true.. We try so hard and just hope it all works out. You are really good mom!! Plus I hear boys are harder. Since I will never know, I think girls are hard to!
Aahhh a Good Mom Day! We deserve those every once in a while. The sad part will be when this time is over and then we will miss it!
I am pretty sure you are doing better then you realize!
I totally understand what you mean about people making comments- I get similar ones about Brendan. I think Brendan and Andrew would get along really great! Hope you had a great Mother's Day. You do a great job so I hope you got pampered a little (or a lot!).
So Becky, whatever happened to trivia Tuesday? I think you should bring it back for the summer.
becky...i found this blog and thought of you (you and my girls' heads)....pretty cool

Amen! Sam is my struggle for all the same reasons, but he is exploding with personality. It really does feel like a breath of fresh air when they have a "good" day.
